Snoring Swollen Throat

Why is my throat swollen?
A couple of nights ago, I overdid it at a party and overthrew ammounts large amounts of alcohol. Got home and collapsed and awoke with a sore throat swollen. I attributed it to the position incomfortable fell asleep and not moving (with the head tilted back, which probably caused me to snore a lot) I also have a cold at the moment. Theswelling decreased but still there is that nagging feeling that something is stuck there, as a piece of food that can not be swalloed. Do you think he goes away or should I consult a doctor immediately?
it seems to me that you answered your own question. Alcohol causes dehydration, lack of water in your system would cause a lack of mucus, which normally lines your throat and stomach. This combined with the snoring and excessive cold could reasonably cause a sore throat. Try to drink plenty of fluids and maybe have something for pain. If the condition does not improve soon is always better to be safe than sorry and see a doctor.
