Snoring Hypothyroidism
I have sleep apnea?
I'm wondering if I have sleep apnea. Sometimes when I'm about to fall asleep when I'm in that zone where I'm kind of sort of waking dream and I realize that I have stopped breathing for a few seconds. I have to wake up in order to suck the air very fast. My father has sleep apnea and I am wondering if I too. I do not snore, and that's what intrigues me. I was looking at the causes and risk factors and noticed that hypothyroidism can contribute to this. Has anyone heard of someone with sleep apnea, but who do not snore?
I had a home health nurse come to house and leave me with a small tape recorder connected to a circular ring of plastic that fit on my finger while I was sleeping. The next day, she picked up the recorder to the lab and printed three sheets of times when I was breathing normally when he stopped breathing for more than 10 seconds. You're too tired when you wake up. And make sure you not snore? My kids saved me to prove to myself that I did.
