Snoring Exercise

How can I go to sleep faster?
I’ve been trying going to bed early but it doesn’t really work. Once I went to bed about 12am and I ended up just lying there until I saw the sunrise. I always wonder how people can get to sleep so fast, especially my dad. When he goes to bed, about 5 minutes he’s already snoring. I don’t want any medicine or any ritual crap like that. I hear alot of people saying that I should exercise. Does that mean like for example I exercise right now and go to bed right after? Please recommend tried and tested ways.
I feel your pain. There’s nothing worse then laying awake all night knowing that you have to get up. I’ve ALWAYS had a problem going to sleep (and subsequently getting up in the morning). I tried everything that I could (exercising in the afternoon, not eating after 5:00, cutting out caffine completely, etc)…eventually I just gave up and got a perscription for Ambien. Now I go to sleep earlier, but still have problems waking up. If someone has the secret I would love to hear it. I think we miht just be night owls.
My huband claims meditation works for him, but he goes to sleep in five minutes anyway. It’s worth a shot though right?
