Snoring can be a symptom of a cat and can cause death?
Tabby cat is a cat old.My 11 years and was overweight for about 6 months. She was placed in perscription diet by the vet. She lost weight and was back to a healthy weight. She always had some kind of problem snoring or congestion in the nose. Recently, she died. Luckily i was not there See what happened. My brother saw it and said she could have had a heart attack and died instantly. Is there any type of diagnosis or treatment that I could have avoided ?…. I just can not get over it.
I seriously doubt it could have been treated for anything. Eleven years is an average life of a cat. But she could have had congestive heart failure if she snored or were congested. Sometimes your gums and tongue turns blue and heavy breathing for a while with this. It is a diagnosis for an elderly cat. I know I would be very difficult time with the death of my kittens, but rest assured that you gave to her a good home and loved and who is more than most cats get. Oh by the way, I have a wife who snores and is not overweight at all. She always snored and she is only 4 years old. I think as people, some cats snoring, others not.
