nasal passage problems prevent sleep?

Just woke up because my very dry nasal passage (bottom back, as near the throat) woke me up. I snore when I sleep and sometimes, like now, I woke up because of the dryness of the mouth, tongue and the back of the nose. I do not understand that. And when I'm awake, my nose, once again talking about the far back of the nose, get really, really stuffy, and I have to switch sides I lean to be able to breathe through your nose. I do not have sure this is allergic or something. How can I prevent / cure it? And it would be a jala neti be effective here? Thanks in advance.
